Active Week and Sports Day were hugely successful in our school this year, with all pupils taking part in a wide range of fun and energetic activities. The week was filled with enthusiasm and a fantastic spirit of participation.
We started every morning with Wake up Shake up exercises and dance routines, to music, in the front yard. Thank you to our senior students for helping to lead this during the week. It energised the students before class time and was great fun.
On Monday pupils took part in a Rounders game, where teams played against each other in friendly matches that encouraged teamwork and fair play. Tag rugby sessions were also a hit, with children showing great energy and enthusiasm as they practised passing, dodging, and scoring tries in this non-contact sport.
One of the highlights was the Obstacle Course, which challenged pupils to run, balance, and jump through a variety of stations. It tested their agility and determination. Another standout activity was the hip hop dancing workshops, where children learned exciting routines and showcased their moves in a fun group performance.
The week ended on a high with Sports Day, featuring traditional races and novelty events. The atmosphere was great with plenty of cheering and support from classmates and teachers. A big thank you to our Active Committee members who helped come up with the programme of events and coordinated them during the week.
